High School Curriculum Overview

The High School Curriculum displays clear evidence of continuity and progression; it builds on the basis of Elementary and Middle School. It is developed to support all learners and ensure that all students are prepared for success in their college and workforce choices after they leave DIPS-G. The main purpose of the High School curriculum is to prepare students for career and college readiness. Since academic year 2019 – 2020, and as a matter of urgency according to DSIB Inspection Report 2018-2019, the whole high school curriculum as well as core and elective courses have been reconfigured to match that of an accredited US curriculum school.

California State Standards ensure that DIPS-G provides a rich American based program that aims at challenging learners and preparing  them for their college and university studies. Our students become academically capable and show readiness to the world beyond school. Students are well equipped with knowledge and show full readiness to master all essential skills.

The school offers high school students a variety of core and elective courses, and the graduation requirements are based on the KHDA expectations. Students are provided more than the expected basic graduation requirements to feel supported and their needs are met.

Two full-time Career Guidance Counsellors work closely with High School students and Parents and guide them to make their choices of electives. They also guide them towards options of university, college, and career.
