STUDENTS ENGAGEMENT

The Student Government is the mediator between the School Leadership and students and plays a dynamic role in planning and coordinating student activities. The Student Government is recognized as an official representative voice of the student body at Dubai International Private School – Garhoud. Members of the Student Government are involved in decision making and their views are highly considered. DISP-G Student Government consists of:

  • President and Vice President
  • Student Ministers in High School
  • Student Ambassadors in Middle School
  • Student Deans in Elementary School
  • Student Captains in Kindergarten

The Student Government sheds light on various activities that target H.H. Sheikh Mohammad’s vision . Some activities are implemented within the curriculum and others are extra- curricular.

Students representing the Student Government are expected to:

  •  Reflect a good attitude that results in excellent behavior
  •  Be selfdisciplined
  •  Resolve difficulties in mature ways
  •  Maintain an effective relationship with peers and staff
  •  Show genuine concern for, empathy towards and tolerance of, others
  •  Have a strong commitment to following and encouraging a healthy lifestyle
  •  Be punctual in arriving to school and for lessons throughout the school day

Morning Assemblies:
Every morning, each department is scheduled to hold a morning assembly that is coordinated by students.

Extracurricular Activities

 

Dubai International Private School – Garhoud is organizing extracurricular activities (after school activities) for our students. These activities help:

 

  1. expose students to a variety of activities which will boost their energy, wellbeing, happiness, and self-confidence.
  2. train students to have a sense of commitment and belonging.
  3. encourage students to be active, creative, and innovative.
  4. move students from only engaging in pure academics.
